Session Titles
SESSION 1
Healthy Relationships: Can't We All Get Along? West ABC Campus Center
Friends, lovers, teachers, mothers: so many different kinds of relationships, yet the basic fundamentals of contentment are the same. During this interactive dialogue we will discuss the various types of relationships, how they may or may not change in college, skills to survive the good times and the bad, and of course celebrate the opportunity to get to know some new people.
SESSION 2
Major in Success: West ABC Campus Center
College is not just about going to class. From an employer’s point of view, what you do outside the classroom can be just as important as what you do inside. During this session presented by the Career Center, you will find out what you can do outside of the classroom to help you make good career decisions, stay motivated and have fun while developing skills and experiences that will give you the competitive edge in the job market and on graduate school applications.
Presenters: Career Center Staff
SESSION 3
Performing at Your Peak: Armitage Hall 121
An interactive session that will explore the obstacles that hinder students from obtaining their “peak performance,” ranging from drugs and alcohol to stress and procrastination. This session will provide an opportunity to talk with current and past students who have found ways to navigate the system at Rutgers-Camden and take advantage of the services offered.
Presenters: Erin Barney, Assistant Director of Athletics, Robert Russo, Coordinator of Health Promotions; and Health Advocates
SESSION 4
My(very public, not private at all)Space.com: Penn 401
In this session we’ll get to talk about America’s (and the rest of the world’s) true favorite pastime – MySpace, Facebook and all of those other zillion on-line social networks and communities. We’ll have a chance to talk about the good, the bad and (of course) the ugly that comes with these websites.
Presenter: Patrick Wallace, Coordinator of Campus Involvement
