The Orientation Committee welcomes you to our campus community. We are delighted that you have chosen to attend Rutgers University-Camden. Rutgers-Camden New Student Orientation program is a two day experience. Your orientation experiences will help you not only learn about the many services and programs available to you as a Rutgers-Camden students, but how these offerings can best guide your academic career. You will also have an opportunity to interact with student leaders, peer mentors, and our faculty and staff.

First Year Students

You are a first-year student if:
  • You are currently enrolled in high school, even if you've completed college credits while in high school; or
  • You've graduated from high school and have never attended college; or
  • You've been enrolled in college but will have completed fewer than 12 academic college credits by the time you enroll at Rutgers University

Transfer Students

You are considered a transfer student if you are a high school graduate who will have completed at least 12 college credits since high school and before your expected date of entry into Rutgers. (This does not include current high school students who are also taking college courses.) Transfer students have typically taken classes at community college orĀ  four year institutions.
